March 16, 2020 – April 19, 2020 all-day
Next-Gen Games

UPDATE 6/7/2020

Beginning tomorrow, Monday June 8th, Next-Gen Games will be reopened for limited in-store browsing. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make the store safe for you guys, and we hope that you will do the same for us by wearing a mask or face covering when inside the store, using hand sanitizer, and staying home if you are feeling sick.

We will be limiting customers to no more than 5 groups or 10 people inside at a time, and our bathroom will be strictly off-limits. Also, we will not be holding tournaments of any kind or allowing free play at this time. Thank you for your understanding!
As we reopen, our hours will be:

Monday-Saturday 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

We will be closed on Sundays.

If you would still like to browse our selection without leaving your home, our Shopify site is still available at https://next-gen-games-la.myshopify.com/

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is doing well.
This weekend, I built a website from the ground up so that we could continue to help the community get the games, miniatures, and paints they need to work while home. The website only allows for curbside pickup. I will be here the rest of the day today (3/23) ubtil 6:00pm and will be allowing pick ups. I will even deliver end of day to people that don’t feel safe going out!
The site is new and, as you can imagine, was a bit rushed. There may be errors. I am going to working on it all day and be here. So if you guys need anything, just check out the site and if you see any broken links, give me a call at the store: 323-938-3400.

In compliance with state and local governments, Next-Gen Games will be closed for at least the next three weeks due to pandemic concerns. We will be closing early (6PM) on Friday, March 20th and not reopening until at least April 19th.

We will be updating you all as to how our Ikoria prerelease will be running soon.

Until then, plese join our Discord to chat with friends and even run games over our voice chat! We know you all need a little normalcy in these troubling times, and we are doing our best to make sure you are safely connected with other loyal customers. We’ll see you all again soon.

An update from Next-Gen Games,

Effective immediately, all events at Next-Gen Games will be postponed to help do our part in practicing social distancing to contain this pandemic. This decision was made with collaboration from our local and state governments declaring all events spaces to be closed. As such, we will now only operate as a retail store. Below you will be our adjusted hours reflecting the postponements. We will not allow large groups to play in the store and all demo board games are temporarily off limits.

Updates on this virus are changing rapidly, As such, we may be forced to close at any moment at the sole discretion of our local government. We hope that you respect our decisions and hope that you will support us in even greater numbers when this horrible event is past us. Thank you so much for all the support and hope you continue to do so in the years to come.

Hey there folks,

Like many others, you may be wondering what steps Next-Gen Games is taking to help prevent the spread of Novel Coronavirus, or COVID-19. While we’re planning on keeping our doors open for the moment, we do have some major events that will be put on hold until further notice. Starting AFTER March 18th, our Wednesday events (both our Commander night and our Dungeons & Dragons Adventurers’ League) will be cancelled, and our doors will be closing at 9PM.

Starting on March 22nd, we will also be cancelling all our kids’ events (including Hero Academy, Planeswalker Academy, and our Saturday Pokemon League). Our regular weekend hours will be unaffected by these changes.

At this point, we are expecting these schedule changes to remain in effect for at least two weeks (until the end of March). We will update our schedule in accordance with guidelines from the CDC and let you all know when our events will return to normal.

Thanks to everybody for hanging in there with us. We know this can be an anxious time for a lot of you out there, but we want to keep our doors open for as long as possible while still being safe. We’ll keep this space updated, so check back here for the latest information.

And stay safe out there!
